Data Deletion Instructions

1. Summary

You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing privacy@i-connect.world. The steps below explain what to include, depending on who you are, what we delete, and what the law requires us to keep. i-Connect is operated by Layap Infotech Private Limited (1071, Sector-47, Gurgaon, Haryana, India, 122001).

2. Businesses using i-Connect

If your business wants to close its i-Connect organisation and delete its data:

1. The organisation's Owner emails privacy@i-connect.world from the email address on their i-Connect account, with the organisation's name.
2. If you want a copy of your data first, export your contacts, reports and submissions from the app, or ask us in the same email.
3. We confirm the request with the Owner, stop all sending, and disconnect your WhatsApp numbers from i-Connect.
4. We keep the organisation closed for 30 days in case the request was a mistake. After that we permanently delete its contacts, messages, conversations, form and Flow submissions, media files, segments, templates stored with us, sequences, and the encrypted access credentials for your WhatsApp Business Account, and remove i-Connect's access to your WhatsApp Business Account.

Deleting data from i-Connect does not delete your WhatsApp Business Account, phone number or message templates at Meta. You manage those in Meta's WhatsApp Manager.

3. If you connected with Facebook (Meta)

If you connected your WhatsApp Business Account to i-Connect through Facebook or Meta Business Suite (for example, using Meta's Embedded Signup), you can remove i-Connect's access and ask us to delete the related data:

1. In Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or, in Meta Business Suite, Business settings → Integrations).
2. Find i-Connect and select Remove. This stops i-Connect from accessing your account.
3. Email privacy@i-connect.world with your business name and the WhatsApp Business Account or phone number you connected. We delete the access tokens and account identifiers we stored and, if you ask, all of your organisation's data as described in section 2.

We receive only the business account information you authorised. We never receive your Facebook password.

4. People who messaged a business that uses i-Connect

If you exchanged WhatsApp messages with a business that uses i-Connect, that business controls your data and decides how it is used. We store it for them.

• To stop marketing messages: reply STOP in that chat, or tap the business's “Stop promotions” button. This takes effect immediately.
• To stop marketing email: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. This takes effect immediately.
• To have your data erased: ask the business. Businesses can erase a contact in i-Connect in one step.
• If you can't reach the business: email privacy@i-connect.world with your phone number (with country code) and the name of the business. We will pass the request to the business and, where we are allowed to act on it, erase your data within 30 days.

When a contact is erased, we remove their name, phone number, email address, custom fields, message content, form and Flow answers, delivery address and related technical data. Orders stay in the business's accounts, without these details. We keep a one-way hash of the phone number and of any email address so that the business cannot message you again by mistake, for example after uploading an old list. Messages already delivered to your phone stay on your phone; delete them in WhatsApp if you wish.

5. Individual users

If you were invited to an organisation on i-Connect and want your user account deleted, ask the organisation's Owner or Admin to remove you, then email privacy@i-connect.world from your account email. We delete your name, email, password hash and two-factor settings. Entries in an organisation's audit log that record what you did stay until that log's retention period ends, because the organisation needs them for its own records and security.

6. Website visitors

Our website (www.i-connect.world) does not use cookies or analytics and has no forms, so it holds no personal data about you beyond short-lived server logs kept for security. If you chose a light or dark theme, clear your browser's site data to remove that preference.

7. What we keep and why

• Invoices and billing records, for as long as Indian tax and company law requires.
• Audit logs, until the end of their retention period, then deleted automatically.
• Consent records, as evidence of what was agreed and when.
• One-way hashes of erased phone numbers and email addresses, to honour opt-outs and unsubscribes.
• Aggregate statistics that do not identify anyone.
• Backups, which are encrypted and overwritten on a rolling schedule; deleted data disappears from them when they expire.

8. Confirmation and timelines

We acknowledge deletion requests within 3 working days and confirm by email when deletion is complete. Deletion of an organisation completes within 30 days after the 30-day safety window; contact erasure requests complete within 30 days of verification. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting, so that nobody else can delete your data.
